The automatic string saw is designed to produce the PIPO thermally insulating products (pipe insulation sleeve). The product is made of blocks of mineral wool in the shape of a cuboid. The automatic string saw cuts the material in any shapes, based on the horizontal movement of the working table and the vertical movement of the cutting string frame. The string saw is able to cut one or two blocks of wool placed one above the other.
The automatic string saw is designed as a compact device that can be installed into production lines for the production of pipe insulation sleeves. The machine also includes a belt conveyor that delivers the material from the feeding conveyor to the working table of the saw, and removes the processed material from the machine to the next processing equipment. The conveyor is reversible and allows for the removal of material in both directions of the machine.
The cutting string is tightened automatically, using the flexible mounting of the string drive pulley. The string drive is controlled by a frequency changer for smooth acceleration and deceleration, with the possibility of setting an optimal string cutting speed for the material in question.
The device is made of stainless steel structure (quality according to DIN 1.4301), including the connecting material of quality A2 and plastic components. All materials used have been certified for direct contact with food.
