Drum grinders are designed for the peeling of the skins of steamed vegetables (such as red beets or celery). They consist of a supporting frame, in which a lifting frame with a rotating drum is located. The drum rolls around its axis along stainless steel wheels with a polyurethane coating. The working part of the drum is formed by four-squared wreathed rods, the edges of which remove the skin of the steamed vegetables. This process waste is rinsed by pressurized water into a collecting trough which leads into the hopper of a separation auger. The cleaned material is delivered by an auger inside the drum towards a discharge hopper. The drum angle can be adjusted to regulate the speed of the passing material.
The material is cleaned and waste is washed off by a pressurized water distribution system. The height of the distribution system can be adjusted according to the drum inclination, or according to specific requirements based on previous experience. On the input side, the machine is equipped with an adjustable hopper adapted for the connection of a modular conveyor of the blanching machine. On the output side, there is a hopper designed for the connection of a roller track. The conveyor is driven by a spun gear with an electric motor located on the drive shaft in the rear part of the adjustable frame.
The device is made of stainless steel structure (quality according to DIN 1.4301), including the connecting material of quality A2 and plastic components. All materials used have been certified for direct contact with food.
