The brush washer is designed for washing vegetables using rotating brushes. It is a compact device consisting of two basic parts: a wash tub with rotating brushes and a discharge conveyor.
The wash tub is equipped with rotating brushes mounted in bearing housings fitted on the tub sides. Brushes are interconnected with a chain gearing. They are driven by a worm gear with an electric motor and a belt transmission. The tub has a double bottom. The upper bottom consists of a perforated sheet, with adjustable height, and with semicircular brushes fitted at the front. The water level is maintained thanks to an overflow trough situated on the input side of the tub. The material flow is regulated by an adjustable baffle located before the input to the discharge conveyor.
The tub has drain valves on both sides for easy use, together with cleaning openings with doors. For easy moving, the washer is equipped with sliding wheels and rails for forklift transportation.
The discharge conveyor is used to transport the washed raw materials from the bath for subsequent processing. The conveyor is fitted with a modular plastic belt, driven by a worm gear with an electric motor located on the drive shaft. Spray jets are fitted above the discharge belt for the final rinsing of the product using clean water and for filling water into the washer.
The device is made of stainless steel structure (quality according to DIN 1.4301), including the connecting material of quality A2 and plastic components. All materials used have been certified for direct contact with food.
